The company was founded in 2008 and is led by its founder.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Identify and implement development programs for leadership, employees, and key talent.</li><li>Oversee succession planning and workforce planning to ensure long-term organizational resilience.</li><li>Oversee payroll processing operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.</li><li>Manage and lead the annual compensation cycle, including salary adjustments, promotions, and implementation of related compensation policies.</li><li>Ensure HR policies and practices comply with local, state, and federal employment laws and reflect company values.</li><li>Lead workers’ compensation administration, including conducting the annual audit, managing claims disputes, and maintaining compliance and strategic relationships with state authorities.</li><li>Oversee the stock options program, including administration of grants, tracking and reporting of vesting schedules, coordination of grant cycles and approvals, etc.</li><li>Monitor changes in employment regulations and proactively advise leadership on risk mitigation strategies.</li><li>Partner with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and business leaders to shape an inclusive employee experience.</li><li>Leverage data insights to influence people strategy and report results to executive leadership and board-level stakeholders.</li><li>Provide confidential counsel on sensitive personnel issues, organizational dynamics, and leadership transitions.</li><li>Oversee evaluation of benefits offerings to ensure competitiveness with market benchmarks and alignment with evolving employee needs and expectations.</li><li>Oversee and manage the HR budget.</li><li>Manage 401K plan administration.</li><li>Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain the employee handbook.</li><li>Coordinate onsite professional development and training sessions. Manage professional development requests.</li><li>Lead efforts to plan companywide events that foster employee engagement and cultivate an inclusive, connected workplace culture.</li><li>Other responsibilities may be assigned, including support for evolving business needs, special projects, and cross-functional initiatives aligned with the company’s strategic priorities.</li></ul>A successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes: <ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology or related field.Master’s Degree in Human Resources is a plus.</li><li>10+ years of related experience in Human Resources with increased responsibilities and growth</li><li>Demonstrated experience with the fundamentals of HR – benefits &amp; compliance, recruitment</li><li>Demonstrated expertise in total rewards management, including compensation strategy, salary planning, and equity/stock options administration</li><li>Proven experience managing payroll operations, with a deep understanding of compliance requirements</li><li>Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including experience working directly with agencies such as Washington State Labor &amp; Industries on workers’ compensation matters.</li><li>Experience leading cultural and engagement programs, including internal events, and cross-functional employee initiatives.</li><li>Experience evaluating, designing, and implementing employee benefits programs</li><li>Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and partner with executives and managers across departments.</li><li>Experience in data analytics</li><li>Ability to hold sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality</li><li>Self-starter willing to take a hands-on role</li><li>Strong collaboration and relationship skills</li><li>SHRM certification preferred</li></ul>Location &amp; Hours: This is a full-time role and will be based in our Washington, DC office.Commitment &amp; Compensation: Commitment &amp; Compensation: The base salary for this role is between $150,000 and $180,000 annually, depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the position.
