By fostering collaboration across party lines, it works to ensure that energy policy supports resilient communities, competitive industries, and long-term prosperity for all Texans.<h3>Job Description</h3>PowerHouse Texas seeks a highly organized and strategic Program Manager to join our growing team. Reporting to the Program Director, this role will focus on developing and executing existing c3 public-facing programming, including the <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.powerhousetexas.org/texas-energy-tour">Energy Tours</a>, <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.powerhousetexas.org/energy-innovation-forums">Public Forums</a> and the <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.powerhousetexas.org/energy-academy">Energy Academy</a>, as well as with building relationships at the Texas Capitol. This position will also organize c4 policy briefing events for Caucus members.The ideal candidate brings exceptional program management skills and an excitement for organizing public events as well as knowledge of Texas energy policy, either legislative or regulatory. They should be entrepreneurial, detail-oriented and comfortable managing relationships with legislative offices, industry leaders and regulatory experts.The position will lead policy-oriented events management (70%), stakeholder engagement (25%) and cross-team communications support (5%) with an emphasis on deepening engagement and building participation among legislators, staff, and stakeholders.Location: Austin, Texas with regular in-person support for events and meetings in Austin, plus statewide travel for programs and tours<h4>Responsibilities</h4>Program Development &amp; ManagementDuring the first year of employment:<ul><li>Lead the implementation of <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.powerhousetexas.org/texas-energy-tour">Energy Tours</a> and <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.powerhousetexas.org/energy-innovation-forums">Innovation Forums</a> programs.</li><li>Plan and execute Caucus briefings (virtual webinars) on priority energy issues, ensuring bipartisan participation and substantive educational outcomes.</li><li>Manage and co-lead the <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.powerhousetexas.org/energy-academy">Energy Academy</a> (legislative staff education series) with the Program Director, including scheduling, speaker coordination, logistics and participant engagement.</li><li>Liaise with offices to increase engagement, drive policy education and support leadership development.</li><li>Support the implementation of the PUC Fellowship and the <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.powerhousetexas.org/energy-policy-fellowship">Legislative Fellowship</a></li><li>Build program agendas, materials and supporting resources aligned with PowerHouse Texas’s mission.</li><li>Track program metrics and produce evaluation reports to inform growth and improvement.</li></ul>Stakeholder Engagement &amp; Coordination<ul><li>Cultivate and maintain relationships with legislative offices, fellows, regulatory experts and industry partners.</li><li>Support recruitment and onboarding of program participants (policymakers, legislative staff, speakers and mentors).</li><li>Coordinate with Advisory Council members, PHT staff and external experts to strengthen program content.</li></ul>Operations &amp; Cross-Team Support<ul><li>Work closely with the Program Director to align program calendars and ensure seamless execution across multiple initiatives.</li><li>Collaborate with the Communications Manager to promote programs and capture program impact.</li><li>Track budgets and support grant reporting by providing program data and outcomes.</li><li>Contribute to program-related fundraising efforts through lead development.</li></ul><h4>Requirements</h4><ul><li>4+ years of experience in program management, policy, or education (nonprofit, government, or advocacy strongly preferred).</li><li>Masters degree preferred, bachelors in a related field required</li><li>Significant experience coordinating events, workshops or trainings.</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of Texas energy policy, electricity markets, or regulatory processes.</li><li>Proven ability to design, launch and manage programs from concept to execution.</li><li>Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to balance multiple deadlines.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to professional or policy audiences.</li><li>Collaborative team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced, small-team environment.</li><li>Passion for and commitment to a bipartisan-led Texas energy economy.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Suite; CRM/database experience a plus.</li></ul><h4>Benefits</h4>- Salary Range: $60,000–$75,000 annually, commensurate with experience.- Health insurance, vision, dental, generous PTO policy, professional development and flexible remote work.- Travel covered for statewide events.
