You’ll work closely with our leadership and product teams to translate our technical work into compelling proposals that unlock funding for scalable impact. We're a tight-knit team and would love to chat if you're excited to help power the next era of renter-driven electrification!This is a part-time, remote contract position with flexible hours. If you're based in the Bay Area, you have the option to occassionally work from our Berkeley HQ.Responsibilities<ul><li>Research and identify grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and corporate funders that align with the company’s goals.</li><li>Develop high-quality, persuasive grant proposals, concept notes, and supporting materials that articulate our vision, programs, and technical work.</li><li>Manage timelines, submission schedules, and compliance requirements for multiple grants simultaneously.</li><li>Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information, data, and metrics needed for proposals.</li><li>Maintain a grant tracking system, including deadlines, submissions, and reporting obligations.</li><li>Draft follow-up materials such as progress reports and impact summaries for awarded grants.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience writing and winning grants, ideally for hardware.</li><li>Excellent written communication and storytelling skills, with an eye for clarity and impact.</li><li>Strong research and analytical abilities to identify viable funding sources.</li><li>Ability to translate complex technical or product concepts into clear, compelling narratives.</li><li>Self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced, startup environment.</li><li>Familiarity with EV charging infrastructure is a plus.</li><li>Familiarity with budget creation and project cost estimation for grant applications is a plus.</li></ul>Details<ul><li>Hours: Flexible, expecting 5-20 hours per week (depends on grant volume)</li><li>Compensation: Hourly rate will be dependent on relevant experience and location</li><li>Location: Remote (Bay Area preferred)</li><li>Start date: ASAP</li></ul>Come help power the next era of renter-driven electrification!
