We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.</div>What You’ll Do:As an Electric Engine Manufacturing Technician, you will be in a hands-on role assembling our 4 variants of engines for our Midnight aircraft.  The production line is mostly manual processes, so following work instructions with close attention to detail will be the most important aspect of this role.<ul><li>Work closely with the engineering teams to support equipment bring-up and process validation</li><li>Use manual, semi-automated, and automated equipment to build electric engines which includes inverters, stators, gearboxes, and motors</li><li>Troubleshoot equipment and processes</li><li>Debug electric engines</li><li>Build basic lab fixtures and tools</li><li>Perform routine maintenance on equipment</li><li>Perform inspections and measurements of product dimensions using basic metrology tools, (calipers, micrometer, depth gauges, measurement microscope, etc…)</li></ul>What You Need:<ul><li>Associate's Degree, or 5+ years in manufacturing industry</li><li>Experience in an R&amp;D or early production environment</li><li>Direct hands-on build experience with mechanical and electronic assemblies using technical documentation</li><li>High workmanship standards</li><li>Ability to follow formal build instructions and document deviations</li><li>Excellent documentation and written communication; proficient using Microsoft Office</li><li>Basic knowledge of drafting standards (read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings) to produce parts and assemblies</li><li>Experience using measurement and inspection (caliper, micrometer, height gauges, CMM…)</li><li>Familiarity with 5S or similar workplace organization methods</li><li>Experience following all aspects of maintenance safety protocol (LOTO, 5S, Arc Flash, etc.).</li></ul>Bonus Qualifications:<ul><li>IPC Certification or knowledge</li><li>Experience with assembling stator windings</li><li>Experience working with SAP</li></ul>Please note that this job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position and does not include an exhaustive list of responsibilities and qualificationsAt Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business.
