You will work in a high-communication environment as part of a team of empowered developers and engineers who have a passion for the products they work on and care about their end users. Since we are still a small organization, your contributions will have a big impact on the product, our company, and our customers.</p><p><strong>Your Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Monitor network performance - create and track key metrics to monitor network health activity, MVNO and internal alerts, device uptime, data usage, and device-to-platform connection dynamics.</li><li>Troubleshoot issues - identify, analyze, and corner problems, alerting carriers and/or working with firmware and platform engineering to resolve connectivity issues.</li><li>Analyze data and recommend optimization strategies - work with data scientists to monitor devices and optimize network usage and performance. </li><li>Visit customer sites to measure cellular signal availability, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and enable device operability.</li><li>Enable cellular connectivity in new regions - work with MVNOs to rapidly gain confidence in cellular connectivity in new regions to enable pilot installations and global expansion.</li><li>Evaluation and validation of MVNOs </li><li>Evaluation and validation of cellular connectivity enabling technologies</li><li>~25% travel is expected, including internationally</li></ul><p><strong>Skills/Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor of science degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or other relevant field</li><li>At least four years of hands-on experience on both sides of the cellular link including direct interactions with IoT modems (e.g., AT commands), working with cellular network providers, and platform-side monitoring tools.</li><li>System-level thinking as our product offering spans edge devices to platform.</li><li>Problem solving - ability to analyze large datasets, recognize patterns, theorize on root cause, recommend solutions, monitor efficacy, and enable continuous improvement</li><li>Clear communicator – must be able to synthesize cellular-related solutions into actionable requirements for firmware and platform engineers.</li><li>Organized - must be able to simultaneously monitor and drive multiple, potentially urgent issues to resolution.</li></ul><p><strong>Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000</strong></p><p>*Base salary only. Salary is dependent on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience and location.</p><p>**Additional compensation may include equity, bonuses, stipends, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and long-term disability insurance.</p>
