This role is based in our facility in Preston, Idaho and reports to the Hiring Manager.The hours are from Tuesday through Friday from 6am until 4.30pm. This entry-level position offers a strong foundation for career growth within the Maintenance team and contributes to the safe, inclusive, and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility.<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Review and plan work assignments based on maintenance requests, diagrams, or clear instructions.</li><li>Safely operate hoisting and lifting equipment to position machinery and components during installation and repairs.</li><li>Conduct inspections, identify issues, and perform basic maintenance and repairs on plant machinery, tools, molds, and infrastructure.</li><li>Utilize hand tools and basic machine tools (e.g., grinders, drills) with competence and care.</li><li>Support the setup and dismantling of equipment and structures, ensuring compliance with safety standards.</li><li>Perform routine preventive maintenance and accurately document findings.</li><li>Respond promptly to urgent maintenance needs to reduce equipment downtime.</li><li>Complete maintenance forms and work orders with attention to detail and timeliness.</li><li>Monitor inventory levels of tools and supplies and assist with restocking as needed.</li><li>Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, respectful work environment.</li><li>Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support plant operations.</li></ul><h2></h2><h2>Qualifications &amp; Skills</h2><ul><li>Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is a plus, but not required.</li><li>Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn maintenance procedures.</li><li>Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>Basic understanding of workplace health and safety practices.</li><li>Comfortable working with tools and equipment used in maintenance tasks.</li></ul><h2></h2><h2>Core Competencies</h2><ul><li>Ability to manage both routine and unique tasks using sound judgment within established guidelines.</li><li>Problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions based on experience and company policies.</li></ul><h2></h2><h2>Collaboration &amp; Communication</h2>Engage regularly with team members across departments including Production, Quality, and Shipping.
