This role plays a key part in maintaining product integrity and supporting continuous improvement within our manufacturing operations.<h3>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Inspect incoming materials and finished assemblies for compliance with standards, drawings, and purchase order requirements.</li><li>Document inspection results through receiving and final inspection reports.</li><li>Generate Product Inspection Reports (PIRs) for all non-conforming materials.</li><li>Collaborate with Quality Engineering to identify root causes and assist in implementing corrective actions.</li><li>Perform additional quality-related tasks as assigned.</li><li>Availability to work Monday through Saturday as needed.</li></ul><h3>Minimum Qualifications</h3><ul><li>High school diploma or GED required.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of experience in dimensional inspection.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.</li><li>Proficient in the use of standard inspection tools and measuring equipment.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.</li></ul><h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Experience in a pump fabrication or machine shop environment.</li><li>Basic computer skills and familiarity with ISO 9000 quality standards.</li></ul><h3>Physical Demands</h3><ul><li>Ability to stand or sit for 8+ hours per shift.</li><li>Frequent reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting.</li><li>Must be able to lift and handle parts up to 35 lbs.; heavier items will be lifted using a hoist.</li></ul><h3>Work Environment</h3><ul><li>Typical manufacturing shop environment with seasonal temperature changes.</li><li>Exposure to noise—ear protection required.</li><li>Work around electrical components, motors, and wiring.</li><li>Required PPE includes: safety glasses, ear plugs, safety shoes (with toe and metatarsal guards), gloves, and work uniform.</li></ul>Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
