The role provides support to our employees in the following areas, including but not limited to, talent acquisition, payroll &amp; benefits, onboarding, compliance, performance management, employee relations and engagement, leave administration, and policy development.In this role, you will be involved with the following:Embedding excellence in talent management<ul><li>Assist with coordinating talent management activities for Smartest US ensuring our team feel supported, respected and able to perform and grow their careers to their best potential.</li></ul><ul><li>Provide support to the HR team and managers around recruitment, including coordinating the recruitment process from beginning to end</li></ul><ul><li>Conduct onboarding process, so people who join our company feel included in our team and supported from the outset while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations</li></ul>People Support<ul><li> Ensure our team feel supported by creating a culture of openness and approachability for staff on HR matters </li></ul><ul></ul><ul><li>Provide coaching to managers involving employee performance concerns and professional development; assist in employee relations matters as appropriate </li></ul><ul><li>Assist with our employee engagement initiatives by tracking and reporting on surveys and feedback received</li></ul><ul><li>Promote DEI initiatives </li></ul><ul><li>Coordinate learning and development activities so employees have what is needed to enhance their skills and meet business and career development goals</li></ul>HR Compliance <ul><li>Facilitate our employment policies and procedures, ensuring they fit our culture from a best practice perspective, while maintaining legal compliance on a federal, state, and local level, as applicable </li></ul><ul><li>Monitor and maintain compliance with employment laws on a federal, state, and local level, as applicable </li></ul>HR Operations<ul><li>Oversee HR information systems (HRIS) and ensure accurate data and reporting capabilities; keep data current, and provide support and data as needed </li></ul><ul><li>Keep postings and policies current, including but not limited to the employee handbook and related addendums, and update as needed</li></ul><ul><li>Working with applicable partners, coordinate payroll and benefits activities </li></ul><ul><li>Oversee leave administration </li></ul><ul><li>Maintain HR files and related documents to ensure compliance and accuracy including but not limited to personnel files, HR documents and procedures, job descriptions, employment posters, etc. </li></ul><ul><li>Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team (both global and local) to develop solutions, programs and policies</li></ul><ul><li>Assist with office management priorities as needed </li></ul><ul><li>Provide communications as needed to all employees</li></ul><ul><li>Oversee safety policies &amp; programs</li></ul>Ensure that information security policies and procedures are adhered to.To be successful in this role, you are likely to have the following skills/experience:<ul><li>3-5 years of progressive experience in the area of Human Resources</li></ul><ul><li>Experience of federal and multi-state employment requirements</li></ul><ul><li>Experience working with and supporting staff and managers at all levels</li><li>Degree in HR discipline or equivalent</li><li> Knowledge of US employment law on a federal, multi-state, and local level</li></ul><ul><li>Professional experience of US employment culture and how to identify and address needs of employees in a responsive and best in class manner</li></ul><ul><li>Up-to-date knowledge of best practice HR trends and people management techniques</li></ul><ul><li>Talent management strategies</li><li>Understands relationship between HR initiatives and business drivers</li><li>Able to use independent judgment to apply compliance updates as needed and recommend best practice strategies</li><li>Able to multi-task, operate under pressure and to adapt to change</li><li>Attention to detail and quickly able to identify critical information; maintain confidentiality as appropriate</li><li>Works well independently and in teams, proactively providing support to colleagues</li><li>Interest in researching and the ability to develop and communicate recommendations using the outcomes of the research</li></ul><ul></ul>DiversityCelebrating our inclusive and diverse culture is core to what we do.
