You’ll lead a high-performing accounting team in a dynamic engineering and manufacturing environment, helping us navigate complex financial landscapes and drive strategic growth.You'll responsible for overseeing financial reporting, cost accounting, inventory management, compliance and audit readiness across our commercial (80%) and government (20%) business.  The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in manufacturing accounting, government contract compliance and team leadership.What you’ll do<ul><li>Lead daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end close</li><li>Oversee financial reporting and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)</li><li>Manage fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and journal entries</li><li>Perform cost accounting, inventory valuation, and variance analysis for manufactured products</li><li>Collaborate with operations and engineering to support accurate inventory and cost tracking</li><li>Ensure compliance with government contract regulations including FAR, DFARS, and CAS</li><li>Support audits and prepare incurred cost submissions for government contracts</li><li>Mentor and supervise accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement</li><li>Drive process improvements and support ERP system enhancements</li><li>Coordinate with external auditors and ensure tax compliance</li></ul>What you need<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field – required</li><li>Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting – required</li><li>7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in manufacturing environment – required</li><li>Leadership experience with a Finance/Accounting Team - required</li><li>Familiarity with government contract accounting and audit processes – preferred</li><li>Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., IFS, SAP, Oracle, Deltek Costpoint) – preferred</li><li>Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling – preferred</li></ul>What we offerYou’ll join a collaborative and mission-driven team at the forefront of marine technology.
