Job Description:Sr. Manager, Accounting OperationsReports to: Accounting Operations, Controller Location: Fremont (Hybrid)Role SummaryThe Sr. Manager, Accounting Operations will be a key leader within Nextpower’s Corporate Controllership team, supporting the company’s mission to build an accurate, scalable, and efficient global accounting organization. This role partners closely with the Technical Accounting Team, FP&amp;A, Tax, and IT team to drive an efficient close, maintain strong SOX compliance, support external reporting, provide technical accounting guidance, and execute on ERP and automation initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesClose &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Manage global monthly/quarterly close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and consolidation support.</li><li>Support financial reporting packages, dashboards, and executive-level analysis.</li></ul>Operational Accounting &amp; Policies<ul><li>Develop and implement accounting policies, SOPs, and internal controls in collaboration with FinOps.</li><li>Ensure consistency and compliance across regional entities.</li></ul>SOX &amp; Internal Controls<ul><li>Oversee day-to-day SOX control execution, documentation, and remediation.</li><li>Partner with internal and external auditors during testing cycles.</li></ul>ERP &amp; Systems Transformation<ul><li>Lead workstreams for ERP migration (NetSuite → Oracle/SAP), including system design, testing, and change management.</li><li>Drive process standardization, automation, and data quality improvements.</li></ul>Accounting Analytics &amp; Automation<ul><li>Build and manage accounting analytics and dashboarding capabilities to improve visibility and decision support.</li><li>Implement automation solutions (e.g., auto-reconciliations, RPA) to streamline close processes.</li></ul>M&amp;A &amp; JV Support<ul><li>Assist in accounting integration for acquisitions and joint ventures.</li><li>Ensure timely and accurate onboarding of new entities into corporate systems and processes.</li></ul>People &amp; Team Leadership<ul><li>Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring accountability, accuracy, and professional growth.</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&amp;A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Sales, Operations, and IT.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA required</li><li>8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and/or corporate controllership.</li><li>Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX, and operational accounting best practices.</li><li>ERP experience (Oracle, NetSuite, or SAP) with demonstrated involvement in system implementation or transformation.</li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.</li><li>Experience managing and developing accounting staff.</li><li>Familiarity with automation tools, BI/analytics platforms, and process improvement methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma a plus).</li></ul>Nextpower offers a comprehensive benefits package.
