We are looking for a well-organized and proactive Scientific Publication Manager who will manage the entire scientific production process of Renaissance Fusion, from the preparation of first drafts to their final publication. This role will report to the Head of Academic Programs and will involve coordination with researchers, technical writers, reviewers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality, accurate, and impactful scientific publications. The ideal candidate has a strong background in scientific research, excellent managerial and editorial skills, and a passion for advancing scientific knowledge. ResponsibilitiesPublication management<ul><li>Manage the internal editorial process for scientific publications in scientific journals, conference proceedings etc.</li><li>Engage in technical writing as needed</li><li>Oversee the peer-review process, ensuring timely and constructive feedback to authors.</li><li>Ensure that all publications meet the highest scientific standards, ethical guidelines, and editorial policies.</li><li>Manage access to external scientific publications (databases, journal repositories, libraries, etc.).</li><li>Manage budgets and timelines for publication projects.</li><li>Ensure company compliance with copyright laws, open access policies, and other legal requirements, for instance in relation with grant applications.</li><li>Evaluate the effectiveness of publications through metrics (such as citation rates, impact factors, etc.).</li><li>Keep the scientific publication record updated, visible, and accessible, both internally and externally.</li></ul>Team Management<ul> <li>Oversee our team of technical writers to ensure that our scientific content meets the highest standards, ethical guidelines, and editorial policies while meeting internal budget, quality, and time constraints</li> <li>Be the ambassador of Renaissance Fusion's vision within your team, and promote its culture, values (speed, simplicity, fantastic realism, constructive interference and unified force) and policies.</li> <li>Encourage collaboration at all levels of the organization.</li> <li>Ensure that your team is motivated to achieve its objectives.</li> <li>Take an active role in talent development.</li> <li>Comply with and enforce the highest Health, Environment and Safety standards within her/his team.</li></ul>Cross-functional collaboration<ul><li>Work closely with the Head of Academic Programs to lay out yearly strategies on publications and monitor relevant metrics on a quarterly basis.</li><li>Collaborate with scientists, engineers and their Heads and regularly attend internal presentations at Renaissance Fusion to scout for new publication opportunities.</li><li>Coordinate with our intellectual property (IP) engineer to ensure that IP and confidentiality are properly addressed prior to submission.</li><li>Keep the communication group informed about recent publications to give them proper visibility, e.g. through our website and social media.</li></ul> RequirementsDo not hesitate to apply if you don’t meet all the requirements.
