AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Design Project Manager for a full-time position that can be based  in one of our Greater Toronto Area offices (Mississauga preferred). The candidate for this position will successfully deliver medium to very large size municipal drinking water and wastewater conveyance projects and related infrastructure including planning and feasibility to design and construction.The qualified candidate will have extensive knowledge, experience and successful track record in  delivering water and wastewater conveyance infrastructure projects. They will be expected to lead a team to maintain schedule and budget, deliver quality designs compliant with local standards, implement safety by design programs and communicate with stakeholders effectively and obtain permits.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Develop and lead a highly performing team in the delivery of complex multidisciplinary water and wastewater conveyance projects.</li><li>Maintain technical knowledge of water and wastewater conveyance infrastructure in a municipal environment.</li><li>Work successfully within a team environment and communicate effectively with other project team members and clients.</li><li>Communicate effectively with stakeholders to build a strong relationship of trust and understanding.</li><li>Work closely with the project manager and other discipline engineers as a key player in leading the design delivery.</li><li>Regular reporting on budget, schedule and quality performance for the project.</li><li>Complete designs within local standards, including making informed decisions on which standard to follow where there are conflicts and communicate and document the decision, engaging stakeholders as required.</li><li>Complete and oversee the completion of technical reports, calculations, and undertake design decisions.</li><li>Prepare technical specifications, tender documents, and review design drawings.</li><li>Assist in conducting technical quality reviews of deliverables.</li><li>Liaison with the disciplines to coordinate design efforts, manage project schedules, and track budgets.</li><li>Conduct periodic site visits during design and construction</li><li>Provide continuity through the complete project, from design through construction.</li><li>Provide guidance to technical staff.</li></ul>
