Together, we will change the future of energy, because the world can't wait.</div>What You Will Be Doing: Our Senior Network Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network systems to protect Helion’s data and infrastructure from cyber threats. This role acts as the first line of defense against intrusions, ensuring that firewalls, routers, and monitoring tools are configured and managed effectively. This is an onsite role at our Everett, WA office, reporting directly to our System Security Manager.  <ul><li>Configure firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and proxies </li><li>Use tools to detect suspicious activity, mitigate risks, and respond to incidents </li><li>Investigate network vulnerabilities, hardware malfunctions, and security breaches </li><li>Create and enforce network security policies, maintain system documentation, and ensure compliance with standards </li><li>Work with IT, cloud, and operations teams to integrate secure solutions across platforms </li><li>Contribute to business continuity strategies and recovery plans in case of cyberattacks or outages </li></ul>Required Skills: <ul><li>8+ years of network security engineering experience</li><li>Technical expertise: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS), and network architecture </li><li>Security tools proficiency: Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM platforms, and forensic tools </li><li>Certifications: Commonly required certifications include CISSP, CCNP Security, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ </li><li>Problem-solving ability: Analytical mindset to identify vulnerabilities and propose effective solutions </li><li>Cloud security knowledge: Familiarity with securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) </li></ul>#LI-Onsite #LI-IB1<div><div><div>Total Compensation and BenefitsHelion's compensation package includes a competitively benchmarked base salary, meaningful equity grants, and comprehensive benefits.
