Commonly involved in the design of buildings and large nonbuilding structures, but can also be involved in the design of machinery, medical equipment, vehicles or any item where structural integrity affects the function or safety of an item. Discipline concerning force resisting and load bearing members and their connections for structures such as foundations, bridges, walls, columns, slabs, beams, trusses or similar members used singly or as part of a larger structure."</p>
