The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing custom solutions for unique projects, mentoring a team, interacting with clients, and developing calculations, construction drawings, design reports, and specifications to support mechanical, fire protection and plumbing systems in accordance with building codes. Job Responsibilities:<ul><li>The Senior Mechanical Engineer should be capable of full responsibility for executing complex technical projects with a team of mechanical engineers and designers.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external clients is required.</li><li>Candidate must be well organized, be able to demonstrate critical thinking to quickly recognize issues and be part of the solution.</li><li>Have knowledge of the ASHRAE standards, NFPA, ICC codes, MasterSpecs.</li><li>Have experience with analysis and layout of Plumbing and HVAC systems, hydronic piping, medical gas, air distribution and associated products and materials.</li><li>Perform various management and leadership functions: Serve as technical advisor for team; business development; staff management and development; develop proposals, fees and schedules; client outreach; talent recruitment.</li><li>Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.</li><li>Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.</li><li>Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.</li><li>Provide technical support and mentoring to junior engineers.</li></ul>
