This person will have the opportunity to work on a diverse set of exciting transit projects with the transit/rail group with a focus on supporting the regional Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) design team.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Serve as a designer and/or technical task leader on planning studies, preliminary design studies, and final design of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) or Light Rail Transit (LRT) projects, and will coordinate, cooperate, and work collaboratively with others team members as well as support business development.</li><li>Perform specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment supporting a senior engineer.</li><li>Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids for BRT and LRT infrastructure</li><li>Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.</li><li>Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.</li><li>Coordinate tasks and provides leadership and mentorship to entry-level engineers.</li><li>Perform work in accordance with the agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision.</li><li>Work independently and with other team members to complete all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works. </li></ul>
