Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Accountant will be a valuable team member responsible for executing the day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close functions. We’re a fast-growing, global company building the world’s best clean energy products to electrify all homes and connect communities to form clean, resilient virtual power plants.On a given day at Lunar, you’ll likely…<ul><li>Support the global team with month-end close procedures, including preparing and posting complex journal entries and performing detailed account reconciliations.</li><li>Coordinate and support external financial audit engagements by preparing necessary supporting documentation and responding accurately and promptly to auditor inquiries.Support the team on any Ad hoc projects</li><li>Collaborate directly with the Controller to manage key monthly accounting functions and deliver accurate financial data</li><li>Serve as a primary point of contact for vendor inquiries, provide operational support to the Accounts Payable (AP) team, and diligently maintain all vendor and customer agreements. </li><li>Oversee and manage the monthly end-to-end corporate credit card reconciliation process</li></ul>Desired Skills:<ul><li>A minimum of 3 years of dedicated experience in General Ledger and/or accounting roles</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field</li><li>Prior experience thriving and being highly effective in a fast-paced, dynamic tech startup environment.</li><li>Prior experience implementing and improving business processes and systems including process documentation</li><li>High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets</li><li>A proactive self-starter mentality with the ability to take full ownership of tasks from inception to completion</li><li>High level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and the proven ability to efficiently prioritize competing demands and consistently meet tight deadlines</li><li>Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills for conveying complex financial information to both the finance team and cross-functional partners</li><li>Familiarity with NetSuite or other major ERP systems is a significant advantage</li></ul>Benefits:We’re dedicated to creating a remarkable employee experience.
