This role leads the financial due diligence process for potential acquisitions, assesses accounting implications, and oversees post-acquisition finance integration. The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless financial onboarding of acquired entities, alignment with corporate policies and accounting standards, and readiness for financial reporting and compliance.You will contribute to our team by:Pre-Acquisition Due Diligence<ul><li>Lead financial and accounting due diligence for potential acquisitions, including review of financial statements, accounting policies, material contracts and internal controls.</li><li>Identify and assess financial risks, liabilities, and integration challenges.</li><li>Evaluate target company compliance with IFRS/GAAP and other regulatory standards.</li><li>Partner with Business Development, Legal, and external advisors to support transaction structuring and valuation.</li></ul>Post-Acquisition Finance Integration<ul><li>Develop and execute finance integration plans for acquired entities, including financial systems, processes, controls, and reporting.</li><li>Align acquired entities with corporate accounting policies, chart of accounts, and financial close procedures.</li><li>Coordinate onboarding of finance teams, training, and change management.</li><li>Ensure timely and accurate consolidation of financial results post-close.</li></ul>Accounting &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Assess and document accounting treatment for acquisition-related transactions (e.g., purchase price allocation, goodwill, contingent consideration).</li><li>Support preparation of financial disclosures and audit requirements related to acquisitions.</li><li>Collaborate with external auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and transparency.</li></ul>Cross-Functional Collaboration<ul><li>Work closely with Accounting, Supply Chain, Tax, Treasury, FP&amp;A, and IT to ensure integrated planning and execution.</li><li>Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership on finance integration risks and opportunities.</li></ul>What you will bring to the role: Education:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</li><li>CPA designation required.</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or transaction advisory.</li><li>Strong background in M&amp;A due diligence, finance integration, and technical accounting.</li><li>Experience in a publicly traded company or regulated industry preferred.</li><li>Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage multiple priorities.</li></ul>Technical Skills:<ul><li>Deep understanding of IFRS and working knowledge of US GAAP, including business combinations and consolidation.</li><li>Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and processes.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.</li></ul>Working Conditions:<ul><li>Hybrid: work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office Tuesday – Thursday.  Office hours are 8am – 5pm.</li></ul>Additional Details:This position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.This position is eligible for health care benefits, retirement benefits, paid time off, and annual bonus.
