Sound like a match? If you are prepared to work in an exciting and rewarding environment, we look forward to considering your experience and qualifications.</strong></p><p><strong>Shift/Hours/Location: </strong>M-F, 8am-5pm, Onsite, Moses Lake, WA</p><p><strong>WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON</strong></p><ul><li>Support definition, planning, and execution of assigned environmental project tasks.</li><li>Serve as a process subject matter expert (SME) departmentally for air, water, waste, and utility process systems.</li><li>Generate deliverables required for execution of environmental projects/initiatives including but not limited to:  environmental reviews, metrics, technical specifications, and budgets for environmental control equipment; specifications and BACT assessments; emissions calculations; etc.</li><li>Process design &amp; detail engineering including performing design calculations, process optimization, sizing &amp; selection of equipment.</li><li>Process documents such as H&amp;MB, process descriptions, P&amp;ID’s, PFD’s, process specifications, equipment specifications, cause &amp; effect diagrams, safe operating limits, shutdown philosophies, operational procedures, and functional narratives.</li><li>Work to incorporate safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements, and lean manufacturing principles into each project as it is defined and executed.</li><li>Lead all process safety reviews and requirements from an engineering perspective.</li><li>Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies to ensure timely completion of projects to agreed-upon success criteria.</li><li>Develop comprehensive and robust test plans for equipment and systems including safety features, interlocks, cause and effect matrices, etc. Ensure test plans are reviewed with stakeholders and executed rigorously. Document and archive all testing records, findings, and lessons learned.</li><li>Perform necessary tasks and work hours needed to accomplish departmental and company goals.</li><li>Support air, water, and waste compliance activities including sampling, data analysis, and record keeping.</li><li>Support OSHA/WISHA mandated programs as well as PSM/RPM programs including LDAR program.</li><li>Perform environmental engineering/safety design and review of new production processes, hazardous waste management processes, wastewater treatment systems, and air pollution control systems.</li><li>Perform emission calculations and prepare regulatory reports/permits for local, state and federal agencies.</li><li>Support external ISO 14001 and 45001 Audits</li><li>Prepare goals, reports and presentations related to company Environmental performance.</li><li>Collaborate frequently with internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Conduct effective meetings, environmental reviews and presentations with stakeholders and customers.</li><li>Prepare weekly summary report of activities, projects, and priorities including needs and risks for achievement of objectives to established standards and timelines.</li><li>Uphold all MLI policies and “MLI Code of Conduct.”</li><li>Strict compliance with Environmental and Safety regulations.</li><li>Compliance and individual accountability with the MLI Quality System and ISO Registration is required.  It is the employee’s commitment to ensure that the Company’s actual practices and procedures are exercised as directed.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned to support and sustain a high performing team.</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul><li>A BS degree in Environmental or Chemical engineering or related field is a requirement.</li><li>Minimum of 3 years’ experience of industrial work experience in related field.</li><li>Experience with Environmental Compliance Regulations and Standards</li><li>Working knowledge of project management, including lean manufacturing principles.</li><li>Ability to apply statistical calculations (e.g., calculation of means, averages, ranges, standard deviations, control limits, etc.) and principles (e.g., generation of graphs, charts, pareto diagrams, etc.) is required.</li><li>Experience with chemical plant operations and processes utilizing toxic or flammable hazardous materials where the strict application of multiple layers of safeguards for protection of employees is important.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to:</li><li>To work cooperatively and supportively with a broad range of individuals with different levels of education and experience.</li><li>To manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously with guidance on priority in order to meet established deadlines.</li><li>Respond positively and effectively to rapidly changing priorities and departmental needs.</li><li>Follow written and verbal instructions in English.</li><li>Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in order to meet established deadlines.</li><li>Work as a team and/or independently.</li><li>Perform tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>Maintain regular and punctual attendance.</li></ul><p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul><li style="text-align:justify;">ISO 14001 internal auditor certification.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">ISO 45001 internal auditor certification.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">OSHA 511 and 521 Training.</li><li><span style="background-color:#ffffff;">Regulatory reporting experience.</span></li><li><span style="background-color:#ffffff;">Experience with designing, running, and maintaining control equipment.</span></li><li>Working knowledge of computers and MS Office software.
