Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Drive application engineering discussions with our customer/channel partners in collaboration with HYDAC sales teams.</li><li>Provide technical support to HYDAC solutions and products.</li><li>Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide technical support during the pre-sales process.</li><li>Understand application requirements and develop system/product requirements and help in the design and selection product solutions accordingly</li><li>Evaluate application specifications to ensure compliance with internal technical and commercial requirements</li><li>Develop and deliver product application demonstrations, presentations, and technical proposals with HYDAC value proposition to customers.</li><li>Assist customers with the selection, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of our products and solutions in the application. </li><li>Provide ongoing technical support and training to customers, ensuring they maximize the value of our solutions.</li><li>Work with the development and lab teams to identify and resolve product issues and support product performance testing.</li><li>Collaborates with US and German HYDAC entities to develop HYDAC solutions. </li><li>Stay up to date with industry/application trends and advancements to provide informed recommendations to customers and internal teams.</li><li>Training of customers, channel partners and internal HYDAC team members on products and solutions. </li><li>Document customer interactions, technical issues, and solutions in our supporting databases.</li><li>Coordinates with Operations to ensure quoted product is viable.</li><li>Relationship building with customer engineers and engineering management teams</li><li>Actively participate in design reviews with other engineering, manufacturing, sales, and materials personnel to ensure that design meet all requirements.</li><li>Supports System and Design FMEA's.</li><li>Supports Solution and Product concept, design and launch reviews.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers. </li></ul>HYDAC Specializations   The Application Engineer within HYDAC could be focused on the following technologies:Systems - Application subject matter expert for all HYDAC technologies, including sub system solutions.<ul><li>Electro Hydraulics - Application subject matter expert for Electrohydraulic solutions.</li><li>Controls - Application subject matter expert for Electronic Controls and Software</li><li>Sensors - Application subject matter expert for Sensors</li><li>Controls &amp; Sensors - Application subject matter expert for Electronic Controls, Sensors and Software</li><li>Thermal Management - Application subject matter expert for Cooling solutions.</li><li>Fluid Conditioning - Application subject matter expert for filtration and other fluid care technologies.</li><li>Division Specific (Enablers) - Application subject matter expert for HYDAC enables such as Accumulators, Accessories and Cylinders.</li></ul>Skills and Attributes<ul><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Willingness to travel 20-40% of time to customer sites as needed.</li></ul>Education and Experience<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.</li><li>Proven experience (2-3 yrs) as an Application Engineer or in a similar technical support role preferred.</li><li>Strong understanding of technologies associated with respective HYDAC specializations.</li></ul>Safety and Personal Protective Equipment<ul><li>Must adhere to all safety rules in force for the location you are in while performing your job responsibilities.
