The overall purpose of the role is to service, calibrate and repair intrinsically safe instruments to defined standards and timescalesWhat You'll Do: <ul><li>Test, calibrate and repair a variety of instruments.</li><li>Carry out fault investigation and root cause analysis providing feedback to colleagues where required.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of instrument servicing and parts usage.</li><li>Ensure effective maintenance of workshop stock levels by timely ordering of replenishment.</li><li>Handle internal and customer enquiries by telephone or in person as appropriate.</li><li>Assist with continuous improvement projects within the Service Centre.</li><li>Work safely and comply with the Company Health &amp; Safety Policy.</li><li>Undertake any other reasonable job/task as and when required.</li><li>Comply with company procedures at all times.</li></ul>What We're Looking For: <ul><li>ONC Electrical /Electronic Engineering or equivalent.</li><li>Previous experience working within electronic repair/calibration of intrinsically safe equipment</li><li>Ability to competently use a range of hand tools and perform hand soldering.</li><li>Capable of working to consistently high quality standards.</li><li>Able to interpret process documents and technical schematics.</li><li>Good basic engineering knowledge.</li><li>Able to record work completed or proposed using clear and concise language and terminology.</li><li>Good, logical, fault finding and diagnostic skills.</li><li>Good interpersonal and communication skills.</li></ul>Range of benefits include.<ul><li>Salary sacrifice-led pension plan that matches employee contributions up to 7%.</li><li>Free life assurance cover at the value of four times basic annual salary.</li><li>25 days holiday per annum plus 9 public holidays.
