You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations, and for fostering a strong safety culture within the organization.</p><h2>Responsibilities and Duties  </h2><ul><li>Spend approximately 90% of time in the field performing safety audits and inspections.</li><li>Conduct thorough hazard assessments to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.</li><li>Deliver safety coaching, mentoring, and training to employees, ensuring understanding and adherence to safety protocols.</li><li>Perform occupational exposure testing to monitor and assess workplace hazards.</li><li>Assist with incident reporting and investigation, contributing to root cause analysis and preventative measures.</li><li>Communicate findings, recommendations, and safety performance metrics effectively with site management.</li><li>Collaborate with EHS&amp;S staff to develop and implement safety programs and initiatives.</li></ul><h2>Knowledge and Skill Requirements </h2><ul><li>2 years of experience with Environmental, Health &amp; Safety (EH&amp;S) program support</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Safety or Health or a similar science-based discipline preferred.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to take on new challenges and to continuously improve skills.</li><li>Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.</li><li>Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.</li><li>Proficient with Google or Microsoft Office Suite or related software.</li><li>Driven to live to Sila’s values of Winning Together, Owning It, Mastering their Craft, and Finding &amp; Facing Facts.</li></ul><h2>Physical Demands and Working Conditions</h2><ul><li>Ability to walk moderate distances and be stationary for extended periods in various field environments.</li><li>Ability to climb stairs and ladders repeatedly.</li><li>Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, or in hazardous environments.</li><li>Ability to operate necessary equipment for safety assessments and testing.</li><li>May be exposed to various environmental conditions typical of field work.</li><li>Willingness to support site activities across all days and shifts.</li></ul><p>Flexible Schedule</p><p>The starting base pay for this role is between $99,000 and $125,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills.
