About the Team:CDP’s Sales function is responsible for generating sales of CDP products to new customers, as well as renewing existing customers and identifying greenfield opportunities within the existing book of business. The Sales function is market and customer oriented and establishes go-to market strategies that serve key personas across financial corporates, non-financial corporates, and distributors and channels. The Sales function works closely with M&amp;C and Customer Success to deliver a smooth customer experience Business development and sales of environmental data sales to channels including third party distributors, consultants, software and service providers and data houses, and academics. About this role:This role will develop new sales opportunities and business development with new and potential customers involved in the interest, qualify and sales steps in the customer journey, and offering holistic solutions to answer customer needs. This role is hybrid, in the London office two days a week. What you will do: <ul><li>Develop sales to specified core customer group - This includes developing sales plans with senior management support, setting targets, and monitoring performance against objectives.</li><li>Lead management - Work with Marketing teams to manage web-generated leads through to Sales.</li><li>Client relationship engagement and management - Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients. This involves understanding their needs and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.</li><li>Sales negotiations - This includes licence and contract negotiations, understanding core use cases of CDP data.</li><li>Market intelligence - Stay informed about market trends, competitive landscape, and client feedback. Use this information to inform business development strategies and identify new opportunities.</li><li>Pipeline and forecasting discipline - Maintain a disciplined approach to pipeline management and forecasting. Ensure that Dynamics 365 (D365) is kept up to date with accurate and timely input to support datadriven decision-making. A proactive and optimistic approach is essential.</li><li>Performance reporting - Track and report on business development activities, including sales performance, pipeline status, and key metrics. Provide regular updates to senior management.</li><li>Event participation - Represent CDP at relevant industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities. This includes promoting CDP’s services and building relationships with potential customers.</li><li>Continuous improvement - Continuously seek opportunities to improve business development processes and strategies.
