<h2>Overview</h2>We’re looking to hire a talented, self-motivated individual for a part-time (15 hours/week) Spring internship that will support our Brand Team with developing our social media strategy and content development, specifically on TikTok. This role will directly interact with key internal partners to create content, report on current social trends, and interact with the loyal Califia Farms audience, while helping to attract and engage new ones.  This position is based out of our headquarters in the Arts District in Downtown Los Angeles and works in the office at least once a week, Tuesday through Thursday. Learning Outcomes By the end of the internship, you will: <ul> <li>Have a solid understanding of the social media landscape and trends </li> <li>Create compelling content for Califia’s social channels with a test-and-learn mentality </li> <li>Reach new consumers, creating a deeper resonance with a younger audience </li> <li>Confidently present data and recommendations in team settings </li> <li>Learn to bring to life Califia’s brand voice and positioning, acting as a consumer ambassador for the brand </li></ul><h2>Responsibilities</h2>Content Creation Support <ul> <li>Move quickly to compose TikTok content ideas that are original, relatable, fun, informational, and on brand, based upon trending sounds within the app </li> <li>Identify and engage with up-and-coming TikTok content creators </li> <li>Be self-sufficient with producing your own content </li> <li>Participate in team brainstorms and content ideation </li></ul> Social Media Support <ul> <li>Support the team in discovering the Califia Farms niche on TikTok to drive brand awareness, engagement, and advocacy amongst a younger audience (15-25) </li> <li>Work with the social team to understand performance and growth metrics to adjust creative for optimizing posts </li> <li>Assist Social Media Manager with gathering data and monthly reporting on social performance </li> <li>Engage with followers in DMs/comments where needed, across social media platforms</li> <li>Continually research social media news, updates, and trends to propose ideas on how Califia Farms can successfully show up on all platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Pinterest, Threads, etc.) </li> <li>Ad hoc support on the Califia Farms website, Feedback Panel, and other projects that fall under the Communications Team</li> <li>Ad hoc support on Influencer and PR projects, in partnership with the Influencer &amp; Communications Associate</li></ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2>The ideal candidate is creative, has a good sense of humor, has a keen interest in marketing for a values-driven organization, and possesses a basic knowledge of marketing principles through coursework or prior work experience.  <ul> <li>Candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field </li> <li>Excellent attention to details with strong organizational skills </li> <li>Ability to multi-task with excellent follow through and task completion </li> <li>Strong oral and written communication skills – writing samples may be requested </li> <li>Strong team player, ability to work with diverse cross-functional teams </li> <li>Problem solver, able to work independently to produce quality results </li> <li>Thrives in fast-paced environment </li> <li>Very comfortable behind (and in front of) a camera and passionate about creating video content </li> <li>Innate user of social media and basic knowledge of what types of content perform well on the platform(s) </li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook </li> <li>Please submit the link to your Instagram and TikTok profile(s) with your application, if available (a portfolio with previous work also accepted)</li></ul>  Salary: $23.00/hour   The Company is committed to providing equal opportunity for employees and applicants in all aspects of the employment relationship, without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, citizenship, marital status, veteran status, disability, age, religion or any other classification protected by law.
