This individual will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of power electronics, wire management, and electrical interconnect systems that seamlessly integrate with Nextracker’s solar tracker platforms. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of electrical systems and product development, strong cross-functional leadership, and a data-driven approach to product decisions. This role is both strategic and hands-on, bridging engineering, manufacturing, and customer success functions.  Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do… <ul><li style="text-align:left;">Define and drive controls and firmware roadmap for inverter/power conversion products. </li></ul><ul><li style="text-align:left;">Translate system-level requirements into detailed firmware/control specifications  </li></ul><ul><li style="text-align:left;">Ensure compliance with grid standards and regional regulations. </li></ul><ul><li style="text-align:left;">Own requirements for communication protocols (Modbus TCP/IP, WebUI, GPS clock) and predictive analytics readiness. </li></ul><ul><li style="text-align:left;">Support lab and field validation of control features, performance testing, and firmware release cycles. </li></ul><ul><li style="text-align:left;">Collaborate with customers and field teams to capture feedback and improve strategies. </li></ul><ul><li style="text-align:left;">Define KPIs for inverter control performance (efficiency, trip times, system uptime) </li></ul><ul><li style="text-align:left;">Translate field performance data into insights to iterate and improve product designs. </li></ul><ul><li style="text-align:left;">Partner with internal stakeholders across tracker, power electronics, and digital solutions teams to deliver cohesive system offerings. </li></ul><ul><li style="text-align:left;">Collaborate with marketing and sales teams on go-to-market strategies, value proposition articulation, and technical collateral. </li></ul><ul><li style="text-align:left;">Support supplier qualification and manufacturing transitions as needed to scale production. </li></ul> Here is some of what you’ll need… <ul><li style="text-align:left;">Degree in Electrical Engineering with focus in Electrical Engineering  </li></ul><ul><li style="text-align:left;">5+ years of experience with PV system design and applications. </li></ul><ul><li style="text-align:left;">Good understanding of controls and electronics. </li></ul><ul><li style="text-align:left;">Knowledge of UL &amp; NEC compliance requirements  </li></ul><ul><li style="text-align:left;">Willingness to travel (&lt;10% of time) </li></ul> Here are a few of our preferred experiences… <ul><li style="text-align:left;">Experience with PV+Storage applications </li></ul><ul><li style="text-align:left;">Knowledge of grid codes and standards (IEEE1547, IEEE2800, etc) </li></ul><ul><li style="text-align:left;">Experience resolving issues from the field, performing root cause analysis, and designing mitigations </li></ul>NEXTracker is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
