We are looking to hire a Coating Technician to join our team, initially working 1st shift hours during training and then 2nd or 3rd shift hours after training. This position will learn the necessary skills to clean optics and run various vacuum coating chambers that are used to apply and spectrally measure the thin film coatings used in Teledyne FLIR products. There will be an opportunity to get cross trained on various/multiple machines.  Job Duties:<ul><li>Handle, clean, and prep optics before and after coating process.</li><li>Prepare tooling and load product for runs.</li><li>Prepare vacuum chambers for coating runs.</li><li>Monitor coating processes and record necessary run parameters.</li><li>Troubleshoot equipment or process issues.</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.</li><li>Make spectral measurements, as necessary.</li><li>Assist in product recovery processes.</li><li>Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Perform general housekeeping requirements of a clean room environment.</li><li>Follows appropriate safety and equipment maintenance procedures.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent education.</li><li>Minimum 1-3 years prior experience in a production environment</li><li>Ability to visually inspect optical components for microscopic defects.</li><li>Ability to handle delicate parts and assist with the cleaning and packing of parts and material.</li><li>Ability to lift 20 lbs. occasionally.</li><li>Ability to use basic shop tools.</li><li>Ability to grip, grasp, and work with hands on product repetitively.</li><li>Willing to work overtime as necessary</li><li>Ability to follow direction and coaching from others.</li><li>Minimal supervision required.</li></ul>Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.#FLIR  Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
