We’re looking for an innovative, hands-on engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about bringing cutting-edge technology to life.</span></div><br><br><h3>In this role, you will: </h3><ul><li>Lead the design and development of the electrical control unit (ECU) for next-generation sensing and control systems</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product architecture and engineering requirements</li><li>Design, prototype, and validate electrical circuits for your control unit</li><li> Perform schematic capture and PCB layout</li><li>Develop basic firmware and scripts for hardware bring-up and debugging</li><li>Work closely with mechanical engineers on packaging, manufacturability, and thermal considerations</li><li>Define test requirements and execute key validation activities in partnership with validation engineers</li><li>Drive root-cause analysis and mentor junior engineers and technicians on troubleshooting best practices </li></ul><h3>Qualifications </h3><ul><li>BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field</li><li>5+ years of experience in automotive ECU design</li><li>Proven record of delivering automotive-grade products into mass production</li><li>Strong fundamentals in power electronics, high-speed design, computer architecture, analog, and mixed-signal systems</li><li>Experience designing and validating high-speed signaling interfaces such as Ethernet, DDR memory, PCIe, and SerDes.</li><li>Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB design tools (e.g., Altium)</li><li>Strong hands-on lab skills and familiarity with test equipment and best practices</li><li>Knowledge of automotive EMC compliance</li><li>Understanding of automotive functional safety and control-unit-level safety integration</li></ul><br><div><b>About Zoox</b></div><div>Zoox is developing the first ground-up, fully autonomous vehicle fleet and the supporting ecosystem required to bring this technology to market.
