This role works collaboratively with the manufacturing and equipment engineering teams to identify, implement, and track the performance of equipment and process improvement activities to reduce equipment downtime and improve quality rates. The Equipment Specialist will also be the first tier of engineering support for production. The purpose of this role is to help the production team shorten the timeline to SPARC.</span></div><br><br><h3>What you'll do:</h3><ul><li>Brainstorm, trial, and implement continuous improvement projects to reduce build hours &amp; defects</li><li>Work within a multi-disciplinary team of manufacturing engineers, equipment engineers, and technicians to develop and qualify new manufacturing techniques and processes </li><li>Document manufacturing systems downtime for frequency and duration. Troubleshoot and resolve downtime with a focus on continuous improvement</li><li>Design, build, and commission electromechanical equipment and tooling for process and/or efficiency improvements</li><li>Write and update process work instructions</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve nonconformances and production blockers</li><li>Perform R&amp;D and prototype hardware builds with minimal documentation and oversight.
