The Role We’re looking for a freelance Product &amp; UX Designer to help evolve Watchtower’s dashboard, building on our existing design and prototype. You’ll focus on refining user journeys, enhancing clarity in data presentation, and supporting our goal of making complex climate finance information easy to explore and act on. Working closely with our front-end developers, technical lead, and NGO partners, you’ll translate analytical outputs into intuitive, well-structured user experiences that bring clarity to climate data. Key Responsibilities <ul><li>Build on Watchtower’s current dashboard design and prototype to improve usability, coherence, and impact.</li><li>Translate user needs and partner feedback into updated wireframes, interaction flows, and high-fidelity designs.</li><li>Collaborate with developers and data analysts to ensure a smooth hand-off and implementation.</li><li>Conduct lightweight testing with NGO partners to validate design improvements.</li><li>Maintain and extend the existing design system for scalability and accessibility.</li></ul> What We’re Looking For <ul><li>Demonstrated experience in product or UX design for data-rich or analytical products.</li><li>Strong skills in Figma (or similar) and ability to build upon existing design frameworks.</li><li>Understanding of responsive web design and accessibility best practices.</li><li>Clear communicator, comfortable working asynchronously with a small, distributed team.</li><li>Self-driven and detail-oriented, with strong organisational habits.</li><li>Interest in climate action, sustainability, or open-data projects.</li></ul> Contract and Compensation <ul><li>Start date: Immediate</li><li>Duration: Short-term freelance engagement</li><li>Commitment: 10–15 hours available between now and 20 November 2025, then up to 10 hours per week for several months after. </li><li>Rate: $50–70 per hour (depending on experience)</li></ul> Why Join Us You’ll play a key role in shaping one of the few global tools holding banks accountable to their climate pledges.
