Apply today!Location: <a href="https://www.google.com/maps/place/IPEX+Pharmacy/@43.7221282,-79.2946071,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x89d4cddd95005dad:0x882b6b691fce6d67!8m2!3d43.7221282!4d-79.2946071!16s%2Fg%2F1hc3pq9xs?entry=ttu&amp;g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDkyNC4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D">807 Pharmacy Ave; Scarborough, ON M1L 3K2 </a> (view on google maps)Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm (with bi-weekly on-call)Responsibilities<ul><li>Plan and layout work assignments from complex blueprints, sketches or verbal instruction and accomplish these assignments with the maximum efficiency</li><li>Preventive Maintenance along with inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, Hydraulic and pneumatic electronic control systems and devices, and maintaining accurate logs</li><li>Use MES when required (e.g. changing line status, reviewing and closing maintenance work orders)</li><li>Capable of providing training, instruction and direction to apprentices or helpers assigned to them during the course of their duties</li><li>Must know and keep familiar all national, provincial and local codes as they affect repair, maintenance, safety construction and dismantling of machinery, equipment and structures</li><li>Work with other departments in emergency situations, plant shut down periods, and in times when machinery is not operating to perform all necessary activities to get equipment and machinery back into operation in minimum time</li><li>Be available for after hours call duty for two weeks per month or any other mutually agreed arrangements</li><li>Participate and support Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems (HSEMS) initiatives as the need arises, conducting routine HSEMS preventive maintenance checks</li><li>Ensure all chemicals are disposed of in the appropriated manner as outlined on labels</li><li>Participate and support 5S program and Energy Conservation Initiative</li><li>Perform other job related duties as assigned</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Must have Ontario (442A) or interprovincial (Red Seal) certification as an Industrial Electrician</li><li>Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset</li></ul><ul><li>Advanced proficiency in PLC systems and programming, including troubleshooting, modifying, and developing logic for automated industrial equipment (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron etc.)</li><li>Ability to read, interpret, and create electrical drawings and schematics to diagnose, install, and maintain industrial electrical systems.</li><li>Ability to understand mechanical systems, perform basic adjustments, and collaborate on electromechanical troubleshooting</li><li>Able to communicate effectively in English both written and verbally</li><li>Knowledge of health and safety practices</li><li>Must be flexible for on-call duty on a bi-weekly basis</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Competitive compensation package</li><li>1st day eligibility for Comprehensive Benefits plan includes Extended Health, Dental, vision care, etc.</li><li>Company Matching RRSP program</li><li>Annual performance bonuses</li><li>Annual pay increases</li><li>Paid training, skills upgrading and advancement opportunities available</li><li>Annual tool and safety shoe allowances</li></ul>Working ConditionsIncumbent spends almost 100% of their time in the plant environment requiring varying degrees of moderate physical labour. Lifting, pulling, pushing heavy objects (up to 50lbs), standing and walking cover the majority of the work. Personal safety is affected by exposure to heat, dust, noise levels and the use of equipment such as sharp blades and presses. Considerable amount of sensory attention is required.
