The focus of the role is to build a culture that has a strong Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence mindset driving towards achieving production KPIs within.Your key responsibilities will be to:<ul><li>Champion a safety-first culture </li><li>Lead and develop the production team, with a focus on talent building of the mould change team and the production technicians.</li><li>Ensure all products are made on time and to specification.</li><li>Challenge established standards regarding productivity</li><li>Promote culture of LEAN &amp; Continuous Improvement towards world’s best practice.</li><li> Model direct, and respectful communication is practiced across the site.</li><li>Ensure all standards ISO, HACCP and GMP standards and practices are achieved.</li><li>Action weekly production plans with a focus on minimising waste and machine uptime</li><li>Work with the reliability manager, continue to review machine setups, and optimise product manufacture.</li><li>Work with the Supply Chain Team to ensure that planning and scheduling are optimised and that key issues likely to impact customer delivery needs are known and understood.</li><li>Support the maintenance and logistics teams.</li><li>Have a Continuous Improvement mindset to improved Safety, Productivity, Quality and Reliability</li></ul>Your skills and experienceTo be successful in this role, you’ll have<ul><li> previous experience in a manufacturing/production environment.</li><li>Proven experience in Lean and Operational Excellence</li><li>Experience at a management level in a manufacturing environment, which embraces continuous improvement</li><li>Strong problem solving and analytical skills.</li><li>Ability to motivate, lead and supervise.</li><li>Ability to coach and mentor.</li><li>Leadership, influencing, negotiation, change management, conflict resolution, financial and computer literacy skills</li></ul>
