AECOM is seeking a motivated and skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to support the design and construction of infrastructure within the Buildings + Places business line. This opportunity is based out of our Halifax, Nova Scotia office, with opportunities for hybrid work available.AECOM Buildings + Places Canada (B+P Canada) is a vibrant and growing fully integrated team spanning architecture, all the building’s engineering disciplines, landscape architecture, urban planning, urban design, economics and asset management for design and infrastructure projects. Major Responsibilities:<ul><li>Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team</li><li>Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.</li><li>Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.</li><li>Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.</li><li>Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of contract documents package.</li><li>Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.</li><li>Prepares technical specification sections.</li><li>Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.</li><li>Assists electrical engineering team with mentoring junior and intermediate engineering staff.</li><li>Assists team manager with prioritizing workload and projects for CADD and Revit production technicians and technologists.</li><li>Liases with other discipline leads to meet client performance objectives in an optimized and value added manner.</li></ul> Mandatory Security Clearance RequirementsApplicants must hold OR be eligible to obtain:<ul><li>Reliability Status clearance (minimum)</li><li>Secret clearance (required for most projects)</li></ul> Eligibility Requirements:<ul><li>Must have lived in Canada for the past 5 years (Reliability) or 10 years (Secret)</li><li>Clearances are granted by the Contract Security Program (CSP), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC)</li></ul>
