Streamline Innovations, Inc. is seeking a SCADA Developer with hands-on expertise in Inductive Automation’s Ignition platform to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our digital transformation journey - building cutting-edge solutions for real-time monitoring, control, and data integration that directly improve operational performance in an industrial environment.<h3>Job Duties</h3>Core Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Design, configure, and deploy SCADA applications in Ignition to provide real-time visibility into plant operations.</li><li> Connect Ignition to PLCs, historians, and industrial data sources using OPC, MQTT, and other protocols.</li><li> Develop scalable industrial visualizations and process dashboards for operators, engineers, and leadership.</li><li> Implement and support alarming, trending, and reporting functions across the enterprise.</li><li> Collaborate with engineers, operators, IT teams, and management to translate requirements into solutions.</li><li> Troubleshoot SCADA systems, optimize performance, and maintain system reliability.</li><li> Document solutions, apply version control, and participate in testing and deployment processes.</li></ul>Front-End / UI-UX Emphasis<ul><li> Build responsive Ignition Perspective dashboards that work seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile.</li><li>Apply web design principles to enhance usability and operator efficiency.</li><li>Create clean, intuitive layouts that highlight critical process insights.</li></ul>Back-End / Data Engineering Emphasis<ul><li>Develop database integrations with SQL and time-series data historians.</li><li>Script scalable business logic and automation with Python and Ignition libraries.</li><li>Integrate SCADA platforms with enterprise data lakes and cloud systems.</li><li>Optimize data performance for analytics, KPIs, and advanced visualization.</li></ul>RequirementsRequired<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field</li><li>2–5 years of experience with SCADA software such as Ignition and/or Ignition Certifications (IU, Core, Gold) preferred</li><li>Experience developing SCADA/HMI applications, ideally with Ignition (Vision or Perspective).</li><li>Understanding of industrial protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, Ethernet/IP).</li><li>Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.</li><li>Comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams.</li><li>Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field—or equivalent experience.</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li>HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, or UX/UI design experience.</li><li>SQL database design, Python for automation, cloud data integration.</li><li>PLC programming experience.</li><li>Understanding chemical processing equipment and associated automation and control schemes.</li></ul>Work Environment - Conditions vary and include:<ul><li>Controlled office environment.</li><li>Occasional trips to the field</li><li>Travel: 10%-20%</li></ul>Physical Requirements<ul><li>Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li><li>Must be able to lift to 15lbs pounds at times.</li></ul>Benefits<ul><ul><li>Salary, Exempt</li><li>Unlimited PTO</li><li>Paid Holidays</li><li>Insurance: Major medical, dental, and vision for employee and dependents</li><li>Short-Term, Long-Term Disability, and Life Insurance</li><li>401(k) Retirement Plan with an Employer Match</li><li>Company Credit Card</li><li>Cellular Reimbursement - $100/month</li><li>Company Stock</li></ul></ul>EEO Statement:Streamline Innovations, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO) and provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
