As the Senior Systems Analyst supporting our project development teams, you’ll own the tools, data, and processes that enable Tradewater to scale work around the world. You’ll be deeply involved in shaping how our project teams operate, standardizing processes, and implementing technology solutions. While Tradewater is based in Chicago, Illinois we have team members around the world. The Senior Systems Analyst position is primarily remote, however candidates must be available, able and willing to travel according to the requirements listed below. This role will report to the Director of Technology &amp; Insights, based in Chicago, Illinois. Applications for this position will be accepted through November 21, 2025. Key Responsibilities and Duties:<ul><li>Serve as product owner for the systems supporting Tradewater’s Supply team, managing configuration, enhancement requests, and user enablement.</li><li>Lead end-to-end project delivery—from requirements gathering and scoping through design, build, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.</li><li>You’ll work closely with directors, managers, and leadership to identify opportunities, drive improvements, and enable scalable operations.</li><li>Support in the management and maintenance of the Supply systems backlog, collaborating with T&amp;I leadership along with Supply leadership to align work with business priorities.</li><li>Participate in sprint or iteration planning within the T&amp;I team to ensure timely delivery of high-impact system improvements.</li><li>Document and standardize Supply processes, developing clear, up-to-date process maps that align with system functionality and governance standards.</li><li>Configure and optimize existing platforms, reducing reliance on customization and ensuring long-term sustainability.</li><li>Analyze and troubleshoot work-flow gaps, process bottlenecks, and system integrations to identify and implement scalable improvements.</li><li>Partner cross-functionally with Supply, Finance, and Data teams to ensure consistency, data integrity, and shared standards.</li><li>Maintain governance and data quality, ensuring all system changes align with Tradewater’s IT policies and data security standards.</li><li>Champion continuous improvement, leveraging automation and low-code capabilities to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas and 5-7 years of hands-on work experience in systems analysis, business analysis, or product ownership roles supporting operational or supply teams. <ul><li>Computer Science or Software Engineering, particularly with a focus on Business Information Systems or Information Systems.</li><li>Information Systems / Management Information Systems (MIS).</li><li>Industrial or Process Engineering, emphasizing workflow, process optimization, or operations systems.</li><li>Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Operations Management, particularly with analytics or systems coursework.</li></ul></li><li>Must have professional-level experience with these primary systems &amp; tools, including configuration, workflow design and data management: <ul><li>Caspio (preferred)</li><li>Zoho CRM</li><li>Zoho Projects</li><li>SharePoint</li></ul></li><li>Strong background in requirements gathering, process mapping, and translating business needs into actionable system specifications.</li><li>Technical proficiency in SQL and JavaScript, with hands-on experience building logic, queries, and troubleshooting system issues.</li><li>Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across departments and organizational levels.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects independently, balancing multiple priorities and delivering measurable results.</li><li>Experience working in Agile environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to iteratively design, develop, and deliver system enhancements.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and support to team members, with potential to take on people management responsibilities as the role evolves.</li><li>Fluent in English (written and spoken).</li><li>Willingness to travel for in-person company events and meetings, including internationally, as needed (expected to be &lt;10%)</li></ul>The Application Process If you are passionate about Tradewater’s mission and think you can be successful in this role, even if you don't check all the boxes, please apply. Salary &amp; Benefits The expected annual salary range for a U.S. based candidate is between $100,000-120,000 USD. Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, other position-related qualifications/skills, geographic location, and business needs.
