<p>AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer/Project Manager to join our team in our Virginia Beach, VA office. This individual will serve as a leader within the team, overseeing multiple projects, managing key deliverables, and maintaining strong client relationships. As a Structural Engineer, the appropriately qualified applicant will be part of a team responsible for the design of small to large-scale Ports &amp; Marine projects:</p><ul><li>Conduct/manage engineering structural design as the supervisor or lead structural engineer</li><li>Create or review designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings</li><li>Collects and analyzes data</li><li>Use computer software as a tool for solving basic and complex engineering problems</li><li>Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule</li><li>Mentor junior staff</li><li>Develop and implement innovative structural solutions for complex marine projects</li><li>Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs with other engineering disciplines</li><li>Manages one or more complex projects involving a full spectrum of engineering services offered by AECOM</li><li>Provides project and technical task management for one or more simultaneous projects</li><li>Identifies problems, determines accuracy and relevance of information, uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and makes recommendations</li><li>Client Relationships: Ability to assist in developing new client relationships and to strengthen existing client relationships. Ability to identify, understand and focus on clients' key requirements</li><li>Team leadership: good team leadership skills. Self-starter, energetic, pro-active</li><li>Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery</li><li>Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for project execution</li><li>Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project implementation</li><li>Prepare and deliver project status reports to senior management and clients</li></ul>
