You’ll lead a skilled team of maintenance professionals, oversee preventive maintenance programs, and champion continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about safety, collaboration, and operational excellence.🔧 What You’ll DoMaintenance &amp; Operations<ul><li>Ensure all machinery and systems are maintained in line with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.</li><li>Plan, schedule, and assign preventive maintenance tasks using MES (Hydra) software.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues; escalate complex problems when needed.</li><li>Support equipment start-up and commissioning activities.</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation for all equipment and maintenance activities.</li><li>Monitor and improve equipment uptime and operational efficiency.</li></ul>Team Leadership<ul><li>Supervise, coach, and support a team of Maintenance Mechanics.</li><li>Lead onboarding and training for new team members.</li><li>Foster a culture of continuous learning, safety, and collaboration.</li><li>Contribute to employee development, succession planning, and retention strategies.</li></ul>Safety &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Promote and uphold health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.</li><li>Issue Hot Work Permits and ensure compliance with safety protocols.</li><li>Conduct and document incident investigations and participate in safety audits.</li><li>Monitor PPE usage and conduct regular safety observations.</li><li>Collaborate with the HSE team on contractor management and risk assessments.</li><li>Maintain 5S standards and support cross-shift communication and cooperation.</li></ul>🧩 What You BringEducation &amp; Certifications<ul><li>College diploma or university degree (or equivalent experience).</li><li>Valid Electrician License and Millwright Certification (or equivalent).</li><li>Training in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or ISO 9001 is a plus.</li></ul>Experience &amp; Skills<ul><li>5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (PVC or plastics preferred).</li><li>Proficiency with Central Maintenance Management Systems and MES (Hydra).</li><li>Strong knowledge of industrial electricity, PLCs, motors, drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, and process instrumentation.</li><li>Familiarity with Microsoft Office and inventory control systems.</li><li>Experience with Lean initiatives and ISO 9001 compliance is an asset.</li></ul>​IPEX is committed to providing accommodations for people with disabilities throughout the recruitment process and, upon request, will work with qualified job applicants to provide suitable accommodation in a manner that takes into account the applicant’s accessibility needs due to disability.
