You will however need to be flexible to work from our Dublin office on at least 2 days each week.What will you do?<ul><li>Drive BGE’s Net Zero Ambitions by providing expert legal advice across:<ul><li>Contracts for innovative energy and service products, including EV charging tariffs, solar and heat pump installations, and micro-generation tariffs.</li><li>Delivery of deep home retrofits through our One Stop Shop offering and supplier network.</li><li>Development of smart eco homes via Hive connected products such as thermostats and EV chargers.</li><li>Marketing and sponsorship initiatives, including partnerships with the GAA, Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, and digital influencers.</li><li>Strategic partnerships with major companies to create exclusive offers for Bord Gáis Energy Rewards Club members.</li></ul></li><li>Support Senior Legal Counsel on major commercial projects, including outsourcing arrangements and IT infrastructure agreements.</li><li>Assist with Dispute Resolution, managing escalated customer complaints and litigation in the Circuit and District Courts.</li><li>Monitor and Advise on Regulatory Change, researching and reporting on evolving legal and regulatory issues impacting the energy sector.</li><li>Broaden Your Expertise through:<ul><li>Company Secretarial and Board governance activities.</li><li>Collaboration with our UK &amp; Ireland legal team to support market-leading UK energy businesses.</li></ul></li><li>Maintain Legal Resources, ensuring precedents and templates remain current and fit for purpose.</li></ul>Here’s who we’re looking for:<ul><li>A professionally qualified lawyer with an Irish practising certificate and significant proven experience (in-house experience is desirable).</li><li>Strong background in commercial law, including drafting and negotiating contracts.</li><li>Commercially astute with experience delivering complex, high-profile matters in fast-paced environments.</li><li>Knowledge of the energy sector and related areas (e.g., consumer regulation, data protection, technology) is an advantage.</li><li>Ability to assess risk and provide pragmatic, business-focused advice within regulatory frameworks.</li><li>Comfortable working independently, supporting senior colleagues, and managing paralegals.</li><li>Highly organised with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines.</li><li>Skilled in building strong stakeholder relationships and open to innovative ways of working, including AI adoption.</li><li>Adaptable, proactive, and committed to continuous learning.</li></ul>Why should you apply?       We’re not a perfect place – but we’re a people place.
