As a Platform System Simulation Test Engineer at Zoox, you will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop and test systems that enable and support our robotaxi, ensuring the safety and performance of the closed-loop drive system. </span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">The Platform System Simulation Test Engineer will have strong technical skills in building simulation test suites, automating post-processing of data, maintaining the fidelity of simulation environments, and defining the optimal balance between vehicle and simulation testing.</span></div><br><br><h3>In this role, you will:</h3><ul><li>Lead the design and implementation of simulation suites to validate system performance and detect regressions from software changes</li><li>Utilize Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines to run regression test suites and provide rapid feedback to development teams</li><li>Define and develop automated data post-processing tools to streamline analysis and continuously improve reporting efficiency</li><li>Analyze system requirements and verify the vehicle's safety concept</li><li>Interpret complex test data, correlate simulation fidelity with real-world vehicle performance, and report key findings to stakeholders</li><li>Work cross-functionally with drive validation, systems, software motion controls, and vehicle engineering teams to establish performance metrics that increase our reliance on simulation</li><li>Design efficient and comprehensive test programs that leverage simulation and analysis to achieve full requirements coverage</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>B.S. or a higher degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline</li><li>6+ years of professional experience in simulation and developing automated testing frameworks</li><li>Strong proficiency in Python for test scripting, automation, and data analysis</li><li>Hands-on experience building and developing simulation-based test pipelines and Continuous Integration (CI) systems</li><li>Experience with vehicle dynamics simulation environments (e.g., CarSim)</li></ul><h3>Bonus Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Experience developing integration and test plans for safety-critical systems in the automotive, robotics, or aerospace industries</li><li>Familiarity with vehicle communication protocols (e.g., CAN) and analysis tools such as CAPL</li><li>Proficiency with Linux-based systems and data acquisition hardware/software</li></ul><br><div><b>About Zoox</b></div><div>Zoox is developing the first ground-up, fully autonomous vehicle fleet and the supporting ecosystem required to bring this technology to market.
