The [Senior] Director will combine strategic insight with rigorous quantitative analysis to guide the company’s most important decisions — from strategic direction and investment priorities to acquisition opportunities and long-term financial planning. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role suited for a strategic thinker who brings both structured problem-solving and strong financial acumen. The ideal candidate has experience in corporate strategy, M&amp;A, or investment analysis within an industrial manufacturing, energy, or electrical infrastructure-related setting. This candidate is motivated by the opportunity to help transform a legacy manufacturer into a modern, growth-oriented enterprise. This role can be remote in the following states: FL, GA, IL, KS, NC, NE, SD, TN, TX, WI, WY <h2>Responsibilities</h2>Corporate &amp; Business Strategy<ul> <li>Partner with the CTO and executive leadership team to define the company’s long-term strategy, financial goals, and growth roadmap.</li> <li>Lead strategic projects that assess market trends, competitive positioning, and investment opportunities across business units.</li> <li>Evaluate company performance and recommend strategies to improve capital allocation, product/market focus, and find value creation opportunities.</li> <li>Translate enterprise strategy into actionable business and financial objectives.</li></ul> Market &amp; Business Analytics<ul> <li>Lead ongoing analysis of industry trends, customer segments, and end-market dynamics to inform strategic decisions.</li> <li>Develop and maintain financial and operational models to forecast growth, profitability, and enterprise value creation.</li> <li>Establish an analytical foundation for decision-making — integrating internal performance data with external market intelligence.</li> <li>Prepare executive-level materials summarizing strategic insights and implications for leadership and the board.</li></ul>Mergers &amp; Acquisitions<ul> <li>Lead the development of the company’s M&amp;A pipeline, working with the CTO, CFO, and business unit leaders to identify and evaluate strategic targets.</li> <li>Oversee business case development, financial modeling, and valuation analysis for acquisition opportunities.</li> <li>Lead or support cross-functional diligence efforts, integrating insights from technical, commercial, and financial teams.</li> <li>Develop integration hypotheses and post-close value realization frameworks.</li></ul>Transformation &amp; Leadership<ul> <li>Support the CTO in coordinating strategic alignment across the company’s transformation programs.</li> <li>Partner with Finance, Commercial, and Operations leaders to link strategic plans with financial outcomes and KPIs.</li> <li>Manage a small team of analysts and project leads responsible for research, modeling, and project support.</li> <li>Build strong relationships across the enterprise to influence strategic thinking and analytical rigor at all levels.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2>Education &amp; Experience<ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.</li> <li>10+ years of experience in corporate strategy, M&amp;A, investment banking, management consulting, or financial planning &amp; analysis, ideally within industrial manufacturing, energy, or infrastructure sectors.</li> <li>Proven experience leading strategic planning, financial modeling, and due diligence processes.</li> <li>Strong understanding of valuation methodologies, capital structure, and financial forecasting.</li> <li>Demonstrated success in synthesizing complex information into clear recommendations for executive audiences.</li></ul>Skills &amp; Attributes<ul> <li>Highly analytical and structured thinker with strong business judgment.</li> <li>Expertise in building complex financial and operational models.</li> <li>Strategic storyteller — able to translate data and analysis into actionable strategic narratives.</li> <li>Collaborative, persuasive leader with strong communication and presentation skills.</li> <li>Entrepreneurial mindset and intellectual curiosity; thrives in dynamic, evolving environments.</li> <li>Passion for helping shape the future of an industrial company transforming for sustained growth.</li></ul>Join ERMCO and TRANSFORM your career.
