We work hard and always  seek to work smart.  This role focuses on boosting Mango Materials’ external communications, social media  presence, and brand awareness. We seek someone detail-oriented, open-minded, and  enthusiastic. A glass half-full, positive attitude is a must!  The Social Media Assistant will be expected to tell compelling stories about biomaterials and  environmental innovation on social media in a way that can relate to a broad audience.  Our ideal candidate is/has:   <ul><li>Strong ability to draft, plan, post, react, and share educational marketing on various social medial platforms</li><li>Solid knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, TikTok)</li><li>Exceptional writing skills</li><li>Ability to translate scientific concepts for a general audience</li><li>Capability to create videos, presentations and other media from scratch</li><li>Excellent Photoshop and PowerPoint skills</li></ul> Want to join us? Mango Materials produces bio-based, biodegradeable material, Polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA), from waste methane gas and formulates it into pellets of various grades that are sold to other businesses to create a climate-friendly alternative to petroleum-based plastics for injection molding, fiber, films, 3D printing and other applications.
The company is led by a technically oriented team - five of our senior team members have PhDs in STEM. We put the safety and well-being of our people above all other priorities. We love to track and measure. We use a software called Asana to monitor project progress, allocate tasks and communicate across different shifts and locations. We follow detailed standard operating procedures for all research testing, plant operations, and business operations. We keep detailed timecards. We have meticulous naming and version control policies for all electronic files.
