This person will drive the harmonization of indicators and monitoring systems, strengthen internal and partner M&amp;E capacity, and ensure that data and evidence drive adaptive management, external reporting, and learning.</div><div><br></div><div>This is a cross-functional role that bridges Operations, Project Management, Product (Terraware), and Communications, ensuring our restoration, carbon, and livelihood outcomes are measurable, verifiable, and clearly communicated.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><b>Salary Range: </b>$100,000 - $120,000, plus equity (depending on location and experience)</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><b>Location: </b>Remote; US, Europe, Africa</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><b style="font-size:18px;">Responsibilities</b></div><br><br><h3>Framework &amp; System Management (25%)</h3><ul><li>Refine and implement a coherent, portfolio-wide M&amp;E framework with consistent indicators, definitions, and templates.</li><li>Maintain and improve standard M&amp;E tools (e.g., M&amp;E Plans, ToC/logframe templates) and ensure alignment with organizational adaptive management cycles.</li><li>Work with Product and Project teams to integrate core indicators and tracking systems (e.g., IPTT) into Terraware.</li><div><br></div></ul><h3>Project &amp; Partner Support (50%)</h3><ul><li>Provide hands-on support to design and operationalize project-level M&amp;E plans, including baselines and targets.</li><li>Ensure project workplans, budgets, and Theories of Change align with Terraformation’s portfolio goals.</li><li>Build partner and internal team capacity through training, coaching, and practical M&amp;E guidance.</li><div><br></div></ul><h3>Monitoring, Reporting &amp; Learning (25%)</h3><ul><li>Guide projects on data collection, verification, and analysis to ensure accuracy and usability for decision-making.</li><li>Feed evidence into quarterly reviews and adaptive management processes.</li><li>Collaborate with Finance, Grants, and Communications to ensure credible M&amp;E data supports funder reporting and impact storytelling.</li><div><br></div></ul><h3>Minimum Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Minimum 10+ years of experience designing and implementing M&amp;E systems for complex, multi-country development or environmental programs.</li><li>Strong expertise in results-based management (RBM) principles, including Theory of Change design, logframe development, and indicator tracking.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to design and operationalize portfolio-wide M&amp;E frameworks that integrate with adaptive management or organizational learning systems.</li><li>Proven facilitation and capacity-building skills, with experience in training and supporting diverse teams and local partners.</li><li>Strong written, analytical, communication, and collaboration abilities – able to distill technical data into actionable insights for multiple audiences.</li><li>Familiarity with carbon projects, ecosystem restoration, or environmental MRV is highly desirable.</li><div><br></div><div><br></div></ul><br><div><b style="font-size:18px;">About Terraformation</b></div><div><br></div><div>Terraformation is committed to addressing climate change through the power of native forest restoration.
