You will have opportunities to work with the latest technologies and contribute to a growing portfolio of products that are helping shape the future of power systems.<h2>Responsibilities</h2>How you can make an impact:<ul> <li>Play a key role on the software team to design, develop, test, and deploy cloud-based software solutions for the energy sector.</li> <li>Develop EPE software across backend and frontend</li> <li>Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and quality assurance, to ensure that the software meets the needs of the business and its customers.</li> <li>Ensuring that the software is of high quality, reliable, and maintainable, by following best practices for software development, testing, and deployment.</li> <li>Perform code reviews, review bug fixes, and contribute performance tuning to ensure high-quality deliverables.</li> <li>Helping the Development Leads to manage the technical risks of the project, by identifying potential issues and proposing solutions to mitigate them.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2>Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:<ul> <li>Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a similar technical field</li> <li>Minimum 7 (+) years of experience developing software or SaaS product.</li> <li>Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git).</li> <li>Strong understanding of software development principles, algorithms, and data structures.</li> <li>Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li> <li>Experience in integration projects, designing and implementing APIs with high-volume data exchanges with third-party systems.</li> <li>Ability to dive into new codebases, generate data-driven decisions for refactoring opportunities, and contribute code.</li> <li>Proven contributor across the software stack.</li> <li>Expert knowledge of one or more of the following programming languages and their ecosystems: Python, Java, Kotlin.</li> <li>Proficiency in TypeScript React front-end development.</li> <li>Working knowledge of Database Design, SQL Queries and transactions.</li> <li>Experience working with AWS products and services.</li> <li>Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.</li> <li>Knowledge of best practices for deploying, scaling, and managing applications in a cloud environment.</li></ul>Preferred Education and Experience:<ul> <li>Experience developing software for the power industry is a strong plus</li> <li>Familiarity with ESRI ArcGIS JavaScript SDK</li> <li>Experience with Spring echo system</li> <li>Experience with designing FAST API python microservices</li></ul> Lead the change!Be a part of an innovative team shaping the grid of the future through advanced energy intelligence.  For more than half a century, Electric Power Engineers (EPE) has partnered with power and energy clients across the globe, providing consulting expertise and energy intelligence software solutions for complex engineering and grid modeling challenges.
