Job DescriptionThe Financial Analyst, Finance (“FA”) will be part of BN’s Global Finance team and will report into the Director, Finance. Located in our head office in Downtown Toronto, the FA role is a highly visible position that provides a solid foundation and exposure to a progressive and dynamic career with a leading global investment firm. The FA will actively participate in the financial reporting of BN and will support compliance, investor relations and business planning &amp; forecasting. There is also opportunity to provide leadership and mentorship to co-op students.<h1>Responsibilities</h1><ul><li>Work closely with global business units to prepare consolidated financial statements and public documents on a quarterly and annual basis, including the Supplemental and MD&amp;A</li><li>Present various analyses and reports for senior management, such as operating metrics and corporate financial results to support their business decision-making</li><li>Produce financial reporting deliverables provided to the Board and senior management</li><li>Support internal and external audit teams in relation to quarterly reviews, the annual audit and SOX compliance</li><li>Assist in preparing consolidated financial forecasts, tracking global operating results of subsidiaries and articulating these results to key stakeholders</li><li>Collaborate regularly with operating business groups and various Brookfield departments</li><li>Continuously look for efficiency in our processes, tools and reports and make suggestions to implement these into our framework</li><li>Assist as needed with due diligence related to refinancing, ad-hoc analyses and presentations on financial and operating results, investor queries and special projects</li></ul><h1>Qualifications &amp; Requirements</h1><ul><li>One to two (1-2) years of progressive work experience in an accounting or auditing function</li><li>Working towards completion of recognized professional accounting designation (CPA)</li><li>Strong financial systems experience, including advanced Excel skills</li><li>Leadership and interpersonal skills, and the willingness to always support the team</li><li>Highly organized and able to work in a dynamic, complex and fast-paced environment, as well as adapt quickly to manage changing priorities and deadlines</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Self-motivated and pro-active, with respect to both managing workload and professional development</li><li>Knowledge of HFM, OneStream and Workiva would be an asset</li></ul>Brookfield is committed to maintaining a Positive Work Environment that is safe and respectful; our shared success depends on it.  Accordingly, we do not tolerate workplace discrimination, violence or harassment.Brookfield is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive organization.
