Join us as a Commodity Manager in Holland, MI or Nashville, TN as we work together to bring innovative automation solutions to life.   </div><div> </div><div>Location Type: This is predominately an onsite role requiring four days onsite in office in either our Holland, MI or Nashville, TN site.</div><div> </div><div>How You’ll Make an Impact: </div><ul><li>Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships.</li><li>Lead, develop and manage commodity strategies.</li><li>Own the Preferred Supplier List for your categories.</li><li>Manage supplier issues while supporting current suppliers; as well as develop new suppliers for your categories as needed.</li><li>Assist Divisional Supply Chain (SCM Manager/Buyers) in negotiating project related material, inventory tools and customer specified items.</li><li>Be a resource for all JR employees, by leading and working within cross functional teams.</li><li>Create and drive cost savings initiatives.</li><li>Collaborate with the quoting, engineering, project management and build teams to understand needs and drive cost effective solutions.</li><li>Identify and manage risks at all levels of the supply chain.</li><li>Develop and drive strategic programs focused on reducing overall cost and improving supplier engagement and performance.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to negotiate.</li><li>Be able to work in a global environment.</li><li>Be able to communicate to all levels of the organization across all geographic regions.</li><li>Always conduct oneself in a manner that is distinguished by a high level of professionalism and ethics.</li><li>Lead continuous improvements of sourcing and purchasing processes.</li></ul>Note: This list of responsibilities is by no means inclusive; however, it is intended to be a guideline for activities.  What You’ll Bring: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business &amp; Management, or equivalent professional experience.</li><li>7-10 years of procurement experience with a proven track record of increasing responsibilities.</li><li>Capability to lead and influence individuals, guiding them to achieve desired objectives and complete tasks. </li><li>Proficiency in presenting ideas and goals in a way that inspires others to follow.</li><li>Excellent negotiation and planning abilities in a project-based environment.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently or as part of a team.</li><li>CPSM Certification is a plus.</li></ul>Company Overview At JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company, we discover potential, reimagine limits, and advance industry.
