You will own quality systems for paint processes, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to eliminate defects and optimize performance. Your technical expertise and leadership will help maintain Lucid’s commitment to uncompromising quality.</p><p> You Will:</p><ul><li>Develop and implement quality standards and inspection protocols for paint shop operations.</li><li>Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for paint-related defects using advanced quality tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, Pareto).</li><li>Oversee audits of paint processes to ensure compliance with specifications and standardized work.</li><li>Partner with production, engineering, and supplier teams to resolve systemic issues and improve process capability.</li><li>Analyze quality data and trends to identify opportunities for defect reduction and process optimization.</li><li>Provide technical guidance on paint application systems, curing processes, and surface preparation.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with lean manufacturing principles.</li><li>Train and mentor quality technicians and production staff on inspection techniques and quality standards.</li><li>Ensure proper use and calibration of specialized inspection equipment (e.g., Elcometer, Wavescan, BYK-maci, PELT).</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation of quality metrics and present findings to leadership.</li><li>Ensure compliance with ISO9001 standards</li></ul><p>You Bring:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field (or equivalent experience).</li><li>5+ years of experience in automotive paint quality or process engineering (OEM or Tier 1 preferred).</li><li>Strong knowledge of paint shop processes: pre-treatment/e-coat, primer/basecoat/clearcoat systems, robotic application, and curing ovens.</li><li>Proficiency in quality methodologies (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC) and problem-solving tools.</li><li>Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Flexibility to support production schedules, including nights and weekends as needed.</li></ul></div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div>At Lucid, we don’t just welcome diversity - we celebrate it!
