AECOM is seeking an experienced Safety, Health, and Environmental Specialist III to join our Northeast department of the EHS &amp; Air Practice. This role will be based in our Germantown, MD office.This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and diverse team of technical professionals dedicated to helping clients meet their EHS regulatory needs. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate at least 10 years of experience performing and managing health and safety audits, industrial hygiene related projects related to hazardous materials, have a solid understanding of related regulations and have proven experience supporting clients with industrial hygiene initiatives.Key responsibilities and skillsets of the position include:<ul><li>Deliver moderately complex technical services across a broad range of safety, health, and environmental (SH&amp;E) disciplines to support client compliance with SH&amp;E standards and federal/state regulations.</li><li>Managing and/or self-performing a wide range of industrial hygiene projects for both private and public-sector clients.</li><li>Collaborating with other licensed/certified professionals and technical/regulatory specialists on hazardous materials and industrial hygiene projects.  These projects are expected to include survey and investigation work, abatement/remediation design, and abatement/remediation.</li><li>Provide technical and/or regulatory leadership for industrial hygiene projects throughout New England, the US, and internationally.</li><li>Develop proposals, including work scope, budgets and schedules for hazardous material survey/design/abatement and other industrial hygiene projects.</li><li>Manage or provide review of technical work and field activities, including performing oversight of projects to confirm work is being done in accordance with the contracted scope of work, budget, schedule and regulatory/industry standards.</li><li>Review, coordinate or prepare written reports, work plans, and technical memorandum; analyze data and develop supported conclusions.</li><li>Work collaboratively with other teams within the EHS department, Environment business line, and across AECOM’s other internal business lines.</li><li>Proactively identify opportunities to increase project efficiencies and add value to client service offerings.</li><li>Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and supporting department growth through supporting internal and external sales.</li><li>Identify and assess operational SH&amp;E risks for clients.</li><li>Develop and execute work plans, compile and analyze data, and prepare comprehensive reports including text, tables, figures, and calculations.</li><li>Review environmental permits and plans to support regulatory compliance.</li><li>Offer regulatory interpretation and technical consulting to clients.</li></ul>The successful candidate will have enough technical experience to be able to independently manage various sized field efforts and deliver associated reports for a wide variety of building hazardous material projects/surveys and industrial hygiene projects. They should possess strong interpersonal and communication abilities to effectively engage with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
