AECOM is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern to be based in Denver, CO.This position is expected to begin in Summer 2026.Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional. Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Performs specific portions of a broader assignment under the mentoring of an experienced engineer.</li><li>Prepares designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and working drawings.</li><li>Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and judgment based on experience to design HVAC systems in buildings using building information modeling.</li><li>Coordinate with other discipline Engineers as applicable for the continuity of the design process.</li><li>Participate in design progress and coordination meetings.</li><li>Assist with the design content by applying both design and technical knowledge to ensure high-quality outputs under project timelines.</li></ul>
