This is a Global team with Global processes and a diverse customer base.  Team members will have the opportunity to interface with representatives in all regions around the globe and numerous businesses and process streams. Our current large projects include Belgium, Poland, Norway, Uzbekistan, United States, and Saudi Arabia, although we support existing businesses and new opportunities in numerous other countries and regions as well. Material Master Data Specialists support the global Material Creation and Maintenance processes. They need to have a strong process background that will enable them to work successfully with various Business and functional groups, along with the many business rules that we manage.  They will need to execute the material master processes and meet the overall performance objectives for the business.  Successful Material Master Data Specialists must have excellent attention to detail and be capable of multi-tasking, and adjust to changing priorities. Candidates should have a background in aspects of supply chain processes and understand various business data requirements.   Ideally a candidate will have spent time within the commercial business area working in SAP, understand what data is in a material master, where to find material data in the system, and have good electronic and other productivity skills.This position is located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Shared Services Centers, and will require standard European working hours except as project or other business needs dictate. Some flexible working arrangements are possible for those trained and able to work without extensive guidance. Travel opportunities may exist for occasional SAP implementation projects or trainings, as world and business conditions allow.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESSupport the Material Master Creation and Maintenance Processes<ul><li>Create and Modify material master data in SAP</li><li>Assist with Material data gathering needs for various projects</li><li>Verify the accuracy of data submitted by the business</li><li>Interact with and guide Businesses when they need material data</li><li>Identify and share process improvement ideas</li><li>Create queries in SAP, databases, and generate reports for SAP data.</li><li>Monitor team email, in-house tools, and ServiceNow queues, and make sure requests are being processed within the team SLAs.</li><li>Participate in Data Quality reviews and corrections</li><li>Work closely with other global MMD team members, business representatives, and Process Owners/Experts</li><li>Work with business and functional groups to ensure compliance with data quality standards and policies</li><li>Use problem solving skills to resolve material master data and process issues</li></ul>                                                                                                                                  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>At least 3 years of Material Master Data Management experience.</li><li>Have working knowledge of SAP ECC material master data transactions, tables, and fields; additional S/4 HANA knowledge a plus, but not required.</li><li>Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, with expertise in Excel.</li><li>Willing to work European hours (2pm–11pm) and observing European holidays. Replacement leave will be provided for Malaysian public holidays.</li><li>Having basic Microsoft Access query skills is beneficial.</li><li>Fluent English communication skills, both written and oral; other languages also helpful, especially Spanish, Polish, French, Dutch, or Mandarin.</li><li>Ability to bridge cultural and geographical differences and be able to comfortably communicate at all levels.</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail skills.
