What You’ll Do You’ll work in a cross-functional, agile team, building our software platform Nimbus.Your work will have a direct impact on the transition to a sustainable energy future by:<ul><li>Automating energy trading across multiple markets in the UK and internationally.</li><li>Processing and managing high-frequency telemetry data from battery sites, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.</li><li>Developing low-level control and dispatch systems for power management.</li><li>Providing seamless access to platform functionality via our web application and public API. </li></ul> In practice, this means you’ll:<ul><li>Design, build, and maintain backend services using our tech stack, which includes:<ul><li>Go and Postgres</li><li>Cassandra, TimescaleDB, S3 and Athena</li><li>Pulsar for event-driven design</li><li>AWS for infrastructure</li><li>GitLab for version control and code management, and CI/CD</li></ul></li><li>Contribute to technical leadership, mentorship, and best practices within a team.</li><li>Stay adaptable and pragmatic in a fast-changing industry that Arenko is actively disrupting, balancing long-term strategy with short-term needs.</li><li>Take part in an on-call rotation, as part of taking end-to-end ownership of technical operations.</li></ul> If you are interested in leadership roles including people management, please let us know!
