<div>Job Type</div><div>Full-time</div>SummaryThe 2nd Shift Yard Laborer (Noon-9pm, Mon-Fri with some weekend work as well) plays a key role in supporting Beacon Recycling’s daily operations by assisting with vehicle fluid recovery, metal processing, material handling, and scale buying coverage. This position requires a high level of adaptability, a strong work ethic, excellent attendance, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Drain fluids from end-of-life vehicles in a safe and environmentally responsible manner</li><li>Shear oversized metal using equipment provided</li><li>Assist with yard and facility cleanup using a skid steer and other equipment</li><li>Provide break and lunch coverage for Scale Buyers in the peddler barn</li><li>Assist Scale Buyers during peak times to keep operations running smoothly</li><li>Operate forklifts and skid steers</li><li>Keep yard areas clean, organized, and free of hazards</li><li>Follow all company safety policies and procedures</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul> Working ConditionsThis role is carried out primarily outdoors. Must be able to work in all weather conditions.RequirementsEducation<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li></ul>Work Experience<ul><li>Forklift and Skid Steer operation </li><li>Some prior experience in a scrap yard, recycling facility, or equipment operation is a plus</li></ul>Skills and Knowledge<ul><li>Ability to work safely and efficiently in all weather conditions</li><li>Willingness to get dirty and perform physically demanding tasks</li><li>Positive attitude, dependable, and self-motivated</li><li>Ability to lift, bend, squat, stand, and walk for long periods</li><li>Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English</li><li>Attention to detail and commitment to quality work</li><li>Ability to lift 25lbs frequently and up to 80lbs if necessary</li></ul>
